The Rules
#1
WitchWorks wishes to maintain a casual and encouraging atmosphere, to that merit there are just a few rules but a handful of guidelines.

The strict rules are:
  1. Creations that involved AI generation at any point in the process are not allowed.
  2. Adult content outside of the appropriate sub-forums is not allowed.
  3. Anti-social behavior towards other users is not allowed.
As a reminder: anti-social behavior is an action designed to cause a person or group of people distress or harm. If you have a problem with another user it is expected that you handle it civilly and respectfully. Harassing any users, regardless of actions or affiliation, will be looked upon VERY poorly. At the same time, users are expected to act with maturity in all confrontations; while all should be treated with kindness, coddling is not encouraged.

As for other guidelines:
  • Unless relevant, discussion of personal beliefs is discouraged due to its tendency to lead to anti-social behavior. Art is inherently political and it is important to explore these and any tangential themes, therefore the goal is not to stifle these sorts of discussions but to keep them about the art and what it means to you. If you have an issue with someone's art, evaluate what that issue might be and why the artist might have felt like creating the art, and if you still feel it is something to bring up, remember rule 3 and be civil.
  • If you do find that you've upset another user despite your best intentions, it is not the end of the world. In most cases, first offenses will be forgiven as long as attempts are made to make amends, however if a pattern of this kind of behavior manifests, you may be approached in private about the issue. Try your best to be aware of yourself and your interactions with other users and there should be no problems!
  • Have fun and explore your creativity! This is intended to be a welcoming, less than professional environment to talk about your various endeavors, and although some users might be advertising themselves or their work, avoid being too stuffy or pushing your work too hard. We have all had to experience the unfortunate overmarketization of skill, so treat people here as your peers, not your customers.
  • All types of art and disciplines are welcome! Got some slick and ingenious code you've been eager to talk about? Give us the details! Designed some new VTuber model tech? Go ahead and show it off! Just released your latest Simpsons YTPMV? I can think of no artform more sacred. Don't criticize anyone for their choice of artform, and please, don't get us in trouble by sharing anything under NDA.
Finally, WitchWorks is not responsible for the actions of its users. While people will be appropriately punished for serious infractions, it is the responsibility of the users as individuals to act appropriately and treat each other respectfully, even in the face of untidy situations. Once again, if you are unsatisfied with another user for any reason, try your best to resolve the situation with the person in question in a manner that abides by these rules and guidelines.

Thank you for reading and following the rules, and enjoy your stay!
